28 March 2012: A survey carried out on senior financial decision-makers in the UK by Google and Vanson Bourne has revealed the full extent to which the CFO is involved in the IT process – with over half of participants declaring that the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) was becoming more influential in the purchasing and management of IT services in their organisation.
The research was conducted among 100 senior decision-makers within the finance functions of large UK-based organisations, and underlines the growing perceived importance of IT to CFOs as a result of the emergence of cloud computing.
