Court Orders Megaupload Parties to Come Up with a Plan

16 April 2012:  The Electronic Frontier Foundation on Friday (EFF) filed a lawsuit  in the US on behalf of Megaupload customers to prevent their data being destroyed.  The Eastern District of Virginia court has ordered all the parties – Megaupload, EFF, Carpathia (the service provider), the MPAA, and the government – to work together to devise a plan that protects everyone’s interests, and does not involve the destruction of customers data.
